She shared on Instagram January 24, 2018 that she is Revlon’s newest brand ambassador.
Ashley posted different Polaroids wearing a variety of different outfits with the caption “Guess who just got a beauty contract?! This girl! So thrilled to join the @Revlon family as we continue to show #BeautyBeyondSize.”
When asked what living boldly meant to her she said, “Live boldly is basically a mantra of my life. I always say in the mirror to myself I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful.”
“There was a moment in my life…[when] I wanted to go home, I wanted to go back to Nebraska from New York and I wanted to give up and I was just done with modeling because it was such a hard, cruel world,” Graham said. “[My mom] said, ‘Ashley, your body is supposed to change someone’s life,’ and when she said that to me I didn’t get it at first. She also told me, ‘you have to talk better to yourself’ and she helped me understand what affirmations were.”
When Anne Talley, Revlon’s Global Brand President told Graham the campaign name, “Live Boldly,” it was an immediate match and she signed right then.
In an interview with WWD she said “historically, curvy girls are not given beauty contacts,” Graham said. “It’s kind of groundbreaking, because in my generation of models, this hasn’t happened yet. This is one of those moments where I’m over the moon, I cried a little.”
The campaign pictures Achok Majak, Raquel Zimmerman, Ashley Graham, Imaan Hammam, Adwoa Aboah, and Rina Fukushi walkiing down the sidewalk in shimmery dresses with black tights.
